Analyzing a game post 1999 : Trauma Team

The wii is a system with very little games worth of mentioning but Trauma team is not one of the games. It comes to us from the company Altus. Trauma Team is a medical based game and the fifth installment of an already existing series.

What sets this game apart from the pervious games would be the gameplay. Instead of following one doctor through the gameplay, The player can pick from 6 different specialist.

-Surgery-  The ‘main’ mode. It is also the only mode that players would be able to play in the previous games. You play as the criminal CR-S01.

-First response-  Playing as the role of Maria Torres, Players will focus on stabilizing patents before they reach the hospital.  In these mentions the goal is to save as many lives as you can which can be a real challenge when you are faced with over seven patents at a time.

-Orthopedics- Playing as Hank Freebird, your job is to repair bones and put them in to place. Takes a very delicate hand to do these missions but still not as bad as Endoscopy.

-Endoscopy- This was gave me a very hard time but playing as Tomoe Tachibana, the player has to control an endoscopic tube to reach inside the patients. It takes a stead hand to navigate through the narrow passageways.

-Diagnosis-  Playing as Gabriel Cunningham, your job Is to figure out what’s wrong with the patient’s illness. This is very ‘House-like” if you have watched the show.

-Forensic- Playing as Dr. Kimishima, your job is to solve the cases of murders and untimely deaths. These mission can take up to two hours to finish which is a major different compared to the other doctors.

It’s soundtrack is what really ties everything together. Music composition was done by Atsushi Kitajoh, Ryota Koduka, and Shoji Meguro, with the main theme, "Gonna Be Here", performed by Benjamin Franklin. The voices were a good but the lines were borderline cheesy.  Though, it did help give the feel of a hospital drama. Something that I still consider ‘cheesy”
