Machinarium is an online puzzle game. Very beautifully drawn, the player must play as a little robot trying to make his way trough the levels. I have played only the demon but he music and visuals really made me consider getting the full version. I would consider Machinarium to be an adventure puzzle game.
Adventure because you must travel and gather things to help you move forward.Upon research I discovered that it does have a plot involving the destruction of the city tower. It was up to the little robot, Josef, to save the tower. I consider it Puzzle because very simply, You must solve brain busters to pass the levels.
